Lorri Allenwears many hats: Christian, jogger, author and procrastinator.

Before returning to east Texas where she began her career, Lorri worked in faith-based media for nine years—from Fort Worth to Atlanta and then in Tucson.

Lorri was the news director at CBS 19 and a faith columnist for the Tyler Morning Telegraph until nearly four years ago, when she started working as a professor and media adviser.

Lorri holds a degree in Broadcast Journalism from The University of Texas at Austin. While in Arizona, she earned her master’s at Arizona State’s Walter Cronkite School. She’s been a member of the National Speakers Association for 23 years, and she’s on the board of the Alzheimer’s Alliance of Smith County.

She is the author of It’s All Good News: Encouragement for Every Season, a book of essays similar to those columns that ran in the Tyler paper.
